Cooperation with the European Union
BIOTON S.A. is currently implementing an investment project entitled “Building the production base for biotechnological drugs”.
The project is being 25% financed by EU funds. On 14 September 2005, the Board of Directors of BIOTON S.A. signed an agreement under which it will receive a non-refundable subsidy of PLN 24,648,117 from the Sectoral Operational Programme Technological Competitiveness of Enterprises). This includes:
PLN 23,473,250 for capital expenditure
PLN 1,174,867 to subsidise labour costs
The project commenced on 1 February 2005 and shall continue until 30 June 2008.
