Commentary on the financial results of the BIOTON GROUP for the first quarter of 2009

In the first quarter of 2009 the BIOTON Group achieved total sales revenues in the amount of PLN 73,6 million, which means an increase by 11% as compared with the sales revenues in the analogous period in 2008 when the sales revenues amounted to PLN 66,2 million. Although BIOTON Group’s total revenues in the first quarter of 2008 amounted to PLN 90,7 million, approx. PLN 24,5 million of them was earned from a one-time transaction related to sale of the right to sell and distribute a vaccine on the territory of Russia and former CIS countries.
